The winner of the top prize in the youth
division was Nick Bartelemeo who not
only won the kayak but a load of supplies
to go with it! He is the perfect age to use
this fishing kayak anywhere he feels it is
safe enough to do so. Matts Sporting Goods
of Haverstraw, NY, donated the prize.
With over 130 people at the windup
dinner the volunteers in the kitchen and
at the grill had their hands full.
I can tell you folks that were not there
this was the smoothest most professional
windup of a fishing event that I have
witness in doing over 100 of these events.
If it gets better than this in 2019 you will
be sorry you missed the upcoming event.
The fishing was not as hot and
heavy as in past years. The
bunker had not arrived in the
river, the weather was cold and
windy, but these folks managed
to catch a few winning stripers.
